WingArc1st embraces transparency by disclosing environmental impacts through CDP

WingArc1st Inc. today announced that it has furthered its commitment to environmental transparency by disclosing its environmental impact through CDP, a global non-profit that runs the world's leading environmental disclosure platform. In the information disclosure, we reported the impact on our own business, including climate change-related risks and opportunities for FY2021, as well as the results of measuring carbon dioxide emissions and the year-on-year reduction in emissions per unit of sales.
Disclosing data around environmental impact is now a business norm. More than 680 financial institutions with US$130 trillion in assets and 280 purchasing organizations representing US$6.4 trillion in procurement spend requested environmental data from companies through CDP. A record 18,700+ companies responded in 2022.
We will continue to respond to the growing social demand for environmental transparency by financial institutions and customers.
■ WingArc1st's environmental initiatives
We aim to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for scope 1, 2 and 3 by 2030. For scope 1 and 2, we will convert electricity used to renewable energy to achieve the goal. For scope 3, we will contribute to the reduction of environmental impact through our products and services to archive net-zero indirect GHG emissions.
